Over 2024 I have had the pleasure of capturing many narratives within our built environment. Each image in this portfolio is a dialogue between light and architecture, inhabitation and situation — a celebration of the stories that every building creates.
Choosing a portfolio is always a reflective journey. It is more than selecting images; it becomes a conversation across time and projects to discover when photographer and architecture together make a compelling testament. Rendering something hoped for as something tangible.
There is beauty to be found in old and new, small and large. From a modest side extension, to a city block. All have big ambitions, all must work at a human scale.
It’s an interrogation, a detailed examination: where has it worked and, occasionally, where it hasn’t. A powerful and important part of engaging with a project, and learning what we can take onto the next. Both celebration and studied critique, an attempt to prove what is, and to try to predict what may come next.
I’m looking for a harmonious balance between form and function, the details that transform stone and steel into vivid expressions of creativity. The moment when buildings become comprehensible as architecture through the gentle act of photographic composition.
This curated collection is my personal invitation to share in my past year of architectural photography—a call to see familiar, and not so familiar, spaces with fresh eyes and renewed interest. I hope these images resonate with you and remind us that everywhere, in our everyday, there is architecture to be found.
